Publisher's summary

He kept his salacious secret for years. But soon, everyone is going to be reading about it in their morning paper....

The Varlet (and the Voyeur)

William Moore is a long way from home. A farm boy from Oklahoma, he's now the most well-respected member of the Irish rugby team. But appearances are often deceptive, and Will isn't the clean-cut, all-American good guy everyone imagines him to be. He's got a secret, one that will tarnish his reputation forever.

The Voyeur (and the Varlet)

Josey Kavanagh is a self-proclaimed mess, but she's finally getting her shi...uh, act together. She's set her sights on becoming a veterinarian, but there's one teeny tiny road bump. Her living arrangements are coming to an abrupt end, leaving Josey homeless and in need of a job to pay her way through college.

The Plan

What he needs is a companion to keep him on the right path. What she needs is an apartment with free rent. Will is convinced Josey will make the perfect companion, since she's brutally honest and basically "just one of the guys". Josey is convinced she can ensure Will doesn't succumb to his voyeuristic proclivities by keeping a scrupulous eye on him.

Except, what happens when the varlet is tempted by the voyeur, and vice versa?! Perchance something very, very volatile. And vexing.

The Varlet and the Voyeur is a full-length romantic comedy novel, can be listened to as a stand-alone, and is the fourth (and last) book in the USA Today best-selling Rugby series.

Another great story by Penny Reid

I’m a huge fan of Penny Reid and love all her stories. The narrators were both terrible. He can’t do Irish accented voices and she can’t do American voices. All their characters sounded the same. This book needs to be self read to do it justice.

Please never use her again

People are right about how bad the female narrator is. I just couldn't do it. While, the male narrator wasn't bad, he wasn't good either. No accents for all of the Irish characters.

Had to give up and read the book because I love the story but I can't listen to them. A huge disappointment compared to the previous 3 books.

Great book, AWFUL voice actress

This is the last of 4 books in this series. I listened to the first two and loved the amazing Irish and American voice actors. They were very professional and each performed several characters by shifting vocal tone and accents.

So, I downloaded this one... the female protagonist is almost in unlistenable! She might as well be reading the back of a cereal box. I quit listening she was so bad. In all fairness, the male lead is great and had a beautiful voice.

First and only time I've regretted an audible purchase.

Take my advice : just buy this on kindle and read. This book is funny and sexy, but the audio is DESTROYED by the worst voice performance ever. It is laughable.

(I'm not exaggerating, after I bought and read the book, I doubled back to one of the love scenes and played the audio. I actually laughed out loud her performance was so bad. She might as well have been reading a shopping list)

Love the book... Hate the female actor.

The book deserved 5 stars. it's was amazing. The Male actor was incredibly sexy. I could listen to him all day. But her? God, it was terrible. I read the reviews before and now I understand. Her voice is annoying, her acting sucked, and she read like she was trying to beat a clock. I get it... Buy the book, not the audible.
Still, the book was so funny and sexy. I would recommend it completely... but not the audible.

Bad Female Narrator Good Male Narrator Good Story

I kept having to slow the speed to understand the female narrator. Way to fast.

Love the story, HATE the female reader.

Buy the book, not the audiobook. Another great book from Cosway and Reid! Paul Corning was great, but seriously, what is up with the female reader!? She. Ruined. It. For. Me. Such a strange combination of cold robotic tone and total lack of awareness of punctuation while reading a story. I wish it was only Paul Corning reading. The only bad reader I’ve ever heard on a Penny Reid book. Disappointed.

I think I found my new favorite male narrator!

I loved this story and Mr. Corning was amazing in his telling. I hope to find more works he has narrated in the future.

Female narrator’s voice was very annoying

I read the reviews about the narrators and listened to the sample (which by the way doesn’t offer a glimpse of the female narrator) but I was very eager to find out about Will’s story that I decided to purchase the book.
The reviews are right, the voice is annoying as hell and the Irish accents from the previous books are, gone which is pretty disappointing since books 1-3 got is used to them.
Anyways, the book itself is good and super funny maybe they were trying to match her quirky personality with the voice but there has to had been a better choice.

Great male voice

The voice of Will was excellent, if it wasn’t for him I couldn’t of bared listening to this. The female character was monotone, really bad
