choppy reader

The reader of the story is a bit choppy in his rendition. The story itself is rather unremarkable.

This is a Decent H. G. Wells Story...

...But unfortunately, the narration is very lacklustre; spoiled all tension for me. Would not recommend.

Not impressed

The narrator made this story difficult to get into. Thankfully it wasn't very long. It was hard to actually pay attention to what was going on because of the lackluster voice reading. Perhaps this would've been a better read than a listen.

Big Spiders

The spiders are big and there are lots of them. Herds of them fly in the air in floating webs. they attack and eat everything. Men on there horses are not safe.

The language is that of the time it was written. There is no story, just an event. The thought of spiders, big numerous and attacking is one that stays in your mind, maybe scaring you more after you read it then while you are reading it.

This is read like a children's story

I really couldn't enjoy the book because the narrator read, this as,if he were reading to cgidren.

Narrator sucks

Story is ok. Narration is garbage though. If you can handle randomly emphasizing words and generic monotone sounding voice... then maybe go for it? Or not idc...

A great short story by HG Wells

HG wells has some famous stories. This isn’t one of them. It has probably flown under tour radar but is well worth making an appearance. Check it out and enjoy it.
