Have you ever been so frustrated that you gave up? I remember when I was in school, I would constantly give up on my homework because it was too frustrating for me to complete. Today, Pastor Ken says Jonah wanted to give up while on this journey with God, but why? It’s because he was stubborn and didn’t want to continue the task that God appointed Him. He was frustrated with God! When you’re frustrated with where God has you, remind yourself there’s a plan, even if you can’t see it.

How often do we want to control the things going on in our lives? We want to get that job, date that person, or bring justice where justice is deserved. Today, Pastor Ken says Jonah tried his best to control God and tell Him what to do, but God always did what was best for Jonah. God’s always going to do what’s best for His people. He loves you and wants to put you in the best situation to thrive as a follower of Him. Put your trust in Him and allow Him to guide your every step. He promises to never fail you!

Sometimes it can feel like the government around us is against us. It can be the rules put in place, the people put in power, or even just the way things are priced at the grocery store! Today, Pastor Ken says we must remember that we need to pray for our leaders. We must pray that they can lead us well and for their salvation. God’s always working! When it comes to our government, we must remember that they’re humans too. They will make mistakes, but God’s put them in power for a reason.
