I am super pleased with this book and the positive

I am super pleased with this book and the positive effect it has had on my health. In the past 20 days, I have lost 16 lbs. and my blood sugar has gone down 110 points!! I feel energetic, I don’t have to get up to urinate at night anymore.

I am following the advice in this book because I was diagnosed as being diabetic. I am sticking to it and the last visit to the doctor he said I don't need to take meds, just keep doing what I am doing and he sees no problems in the future.

Very informative


This is a very helpful book on the basics of diabetes for someone who has just found out and needs the information. I also have such problem and I bought this book to get more information about diabetes. It has helped me greatly and even doing everything right it has taken quite a while to really get my diet adjusted and get my blood sugars where they are good for the long term. This book is well written and easy to understand. All instructions and recommendations are very helpful, effective, easy to follow. This is a great practical reference book, particularly for the newly diagnosed diabetic. I highly recommend this book for those who have such a problem. It is worth listening to.

Moderate exercise is recommended as well. But the food eat is the beginning step. We are told that is something akin to a junk food vegan that lead to many health problems. Load up on vegetables is the key.

If it is so straight forward, then why are we not slimmer. The answer to that question is we don't live in a controlled environment and are pulled towards the latest thing that can bring easy answers to complex questions. The author may be asking too much from the average overweight person.
