Great

No More Diabetes makes you wonder, after listening all of it, why anyone can't get off and stay off the diabetes train in this country.

Basic advice, but it assumes its audience are life

Basic advice, but it assumes its audience are lifetime soda-swilling carbo-holics. If you've already made some changes towards a healthier lifestyle, this book most likely won't help.

I have been a diabetic for almost ten years. This book gives you the low down on what can drive blood sugars wild. I refer to it often and have read through two times. I have given to friends that are diabetic or close to being a diabetic. They have started to live this way and their sugars are coming into line where they need to be.

After listening four other books on diabetes

After listening four other books on diabetes control, I discovered this book. It is absolutely the best and easiest-to-follow book ever. I have given copies to other friends, who also say it is the first book that is actually helpful without sharing you to death! We've all lost weight and blood sugar is coming under control. Highly recommend this to anyone who is wondering what to do after the doctor says your blood sugar is out of whack.

I am enjoying this book. It has some good ideas, and the author speaks to us almost as one friend talking to another. He is friendly and good natured and he has a bit of a sense of humor... while getting good information across to us. I would recommend it. I bought his other book as well --- '60 Ways to lower your Blood Sugar'

Excellent

Excellent "story" and "primer" on the affects of high blood sugars, especially for diabetics. Practical advice and background information on diabetes and how to prevent or slow down the disease's progression. Learned a great deal about how our pancreas works with the foods we eat. Written for and by non-medical professionals. Filled with hope for preventing, slowing down or reversing diabetes.

Revolutionary!

I have been a diabetic since I was two, summing up a total of 39 years of managing this chronic disease 24/7 to date. Until last year, I had been able to dodge the bullet of complications, not so much because of good control, but rather a mix of the benefits resulting from the constant efforts to do so together with good DNA and a tad of luck I suppose.

THE solution!

People following his advice are getting great results - better blood glucose control and lower A1C which means less damage to organs. Well written, easy to understand and complete, it should be read by everyone with diabetes or caring for someone with the disease.

This book was very informative.

This book was very informative. Finally, the answers I have been looking for. I have tried everything to lose weight and resolve some of my health issues. Being a 57 year old, very obese,402 lbs, male with diabetes type II, chronic back pain and leg pain, neuropathy, and sleep apnea, I had almost given up all hope, refusing to diet ever again due to the overwhelming odds of gaining back any lost weight plus extra. I am grateful that author has the courage to stand up against the monstrosity that is our drug dependent health care system today and offer real help to those that are suffering.

listening this book

Before listening this book I was extremely obese and, as it turned out, insulin resistant. I was fat, depressed, crippled and did not know why I could not loose the fat. I listen and then followed the suggestions. Because I was so over weight I decided to do a 36 hour fast which meant eating every other day. My friends and family all thought I was crazy and harming myself. Little did they know that because I had the self discipline within 3 months my BMI was down enough to get my hip replaced and when my primary doctor did blood tests my numbers are better than theirs. This book saved my sanity and probably my life.

This is a very well researched how we got to where we are today with rising obesity and diabetes. What you will read will change your life and your perspective on food, exercise and nutrition. No hype, no animal studies, no BS, just human studies and his own experience as a physician.

I finally had a friend tell my about intermittent fasting and how it was very effective for weight loss. I began eating between a 12 - 8 window and lost two pounds a week for the first month and a half. It is a fantastic way to lose that weight and it makes all the sense in the world. I enjoyed this book because my scientific brain needed to understand why. The more I learn about fasting, the more I am convinced that this is the solution to our obesity problem. I just bought his other book and am looking forward to understanding more about fasting. I am grateful to people like

This is a very well researched and listen account of how we got to where we are today with rising obesity and diabetes. What you will listen will change your life and your perspective on food, exercise and nutrition. No hype, no animal studies, no BS, just human studies and his own experience as a physician. good one

What i like about this book is - simple but very crucial details about how our body reacts to fats, carbohydrates, proteins etc. Talks about why low-fat or low-cal diets started and what killed them. Talks about good carb and bad carb and why one is bad etc. This book has given me enough information to decide how to balance my diet. Also our food habits sets the stage for our old age. Even if you are not trying to loose weight, i would still recommend this book for general knowledge :) in order to feed healthy stuff to your precious body.

A well balanced audiobook. A lot of important information gathered in this auidobook. I was actually impressed by how much useful information squeezed in such a short audiobook. Author described every single thing very clearly with some proper explanations. Such an excellent audiobook.

This book is a story of great importance

This book is a story of great importance, especially if you eat a Standard American Diet. Emily tells her life story in a brave and honest way. I was in tears early in the book as I read about what Emily has lived through. I finished it in one day and I can’t wait to start my journey . I am inspired to know I need to fuel my body better! I can do this!
