Practical and easy to follow

I picked this up because I’ve been curious about both off-grid living and permaculture, and I liked that it combines the two in one place. The step-by-step advice felt realistic, not overwhelming, and I’ve already started a small raised bed using the tips. It’s motivating to see that living more sustainably can start with small, doable steps.

Great guide to living more sustainably

I bought this audiobook to learn more about living with less reliance on expensive electricity. I didn’t necessarily want to be off the grid but learnt heaps of cool ideas and DIY tips to how I could incorporate this into my daily living. We’ve already seen savings in our power bill by implementing ideas from this book.
And then as a bonus we got the second book to how sustainably grow your harvest. I’ve got really into growing my own veges at the moment and they are thriving. This second book gave me great ideas as to what to do next to take it to the next level

These books are needed in every library. In uncertain times, knowing how to be self-sufficient is so important and these books help.

Very good for the beginners

In fact, with environmental issues becoming increasingly severe, I think it's a good idea to keep these books on hand and read them whenever necessary. They serve as a self-sufficient, off-grid survival guide for an unpredictable future, offering hands-on information and tips. They're exceptionally well-written and practical, making them easy for beginners to understand. They're an excellent reference for anyone interested in this field. If you ever move into a home with a yard, this is one of the things you'll definitely want to do.

I wasn’t sure how well a DIY book would translate to audio, but this one is fantastic. Chris Harer does a great job explaining things clearly, and the narration is easy to follow, even if you’re not super handy. I listened while organizing my garage and ended up tackling a couple of small projects the same weekend.
