Great psychological drama & mystery!

Kept me guessing for a long while, though the clues are there, in the subconscious background.

wrong narrator, should be a male

a story told in the first person point of view of a male character should not be read by a female narrator. I had a difficult time remembering the main character was a man based on his lilting, very femine voice. Not sure i will finish, though it is an interesting plot.
