Help for my ADHD
I had been searching for different ideas to help me with my focus and time management. These are made difficult by my ADHD. This book had the best ideas and suggestions. I’m still challenged, but Time Chunking has helped me prioritize, give appropriate amounts of time to different tasks, and taught me the importance of taking breaks. I experience less of the ADHD hyper-focus that threw me so off track. I have learned to “chunk up” my projects and tasks so as not to feel as overwhelmed by them. I look at each “chunk” of my project and decide which time management “chunking” technique might be the most effective. This was a short listen that gave me some tangible and effective strategies. I’m grateful I chose this one!

This book is a quick read, gives simple tips and encourages you to act now. I found it to be uplifting and motivating!! I listened to it with my 10 year old son in the car. He too is using some tips from it as well. Definitely a must!!

Instantly useful,well organized & delivered
I really enjoyed this TIME CHUNKING method audiobook. I found it on the Audible app. It is full of useful informationI that can be applied immediately to almost any type of work. I listened to it several times, "in chunks", once, to get the general idea, and then I repeated it again to take notes of details that I can use.
The author's style is well-researched, concise, and well-organized. The examples are brief, but clearly explained and easy to follow, and sparked my mind to find my own applications.
I have short term memory deficit along with hyper-focus tendencies. This TIME CHUNKING method
gives me the tools to manage these two (often exasperating,) opposing behaviors, by giving my distractible brain a useful structure for getting my work done. The "25-minute focus on work, then 5 minute rest, 25 minute work, 5 minute rest" pattern is simple and straightforward, yet helps me accomplish a lot.
I have used quite a few other productivity methods but with only limited success. I was able to use this basic TIME CHUNKING method immediately. I know that as time goes on, I will add more details so that I can be even more productive. I can already see that my productivity is increasing, without having to wait 6 months to recognize improvement.
Some audiobook narrators are obviously NOT INTERESTED in the content or subject matter of the books they narrate. They speak so fast (trying to get it over with? ) that they don't even pause between paragraphs, topics and examples, or chapters, and use such a monotone, mechanical voice that it sounds like an automated machine. That drives me crazy!
Hooray for the narrator, Joe Hempel ! ! ! ! Fortunately, by contrast, Joe Hempel's delivery style is thoughtful and engaging. His pleasing conversational style is easy to listen to, and gives the listener enough time between topics and chapters to digest the subject matter before moving on.
The author also researched and provides his opinion (with pros and cons) on a short list of what he considers to be the best useful time management apps also intended to help keep me focused. I'm excited to try out these apps for myself and find which ones work best for me.
I've been pleasantly surprised at how this TIME CHUNKING method has helped me in feeling more satisfied at work. I recommend the TIME CHUNKINGg method to anyone who wants to improve their productivity, regardless of their learning style or the type of work they do.
