For many, drug interactions are one of the most frustrating challenges in family medicine, geriatrics, and ambulatory care practice. Even if one is up to speed on what drugs interact with one another, it is often unknown how to manage that specific interaction. Throughout the book, I share some of my management tips and pearls to help you feel more comfortable with managing drug interactions. I wrote this mnemonic guide as an audiobook first to help you remember pharmacology drug names and principles quickly. While in the classroom your professors might say memorization doesn't matter, but you can't bring outside material to the board exam, so for this test, you do need to work on memory training. You already know the consequences of failing a class or board exam, so let's make sure that doesn't happen by getting pharmacology organized in your head once and for all.

With triplet eight-year-old daughters, I don't get four-hour study blocks in a quiet corner of the library. I get an hour here or 15 minutes there. This book is for those commuters, busy parents, and working students who need a "fit it in" approach to studying pharmacology. I've had feedback from students that they just want me to read them drug names and mnemonics so they can put in their earbuds before they go to bed before their board exams. I've got three five year olds, I don't have time to do the heavy lifting you all do as narrators. In Memorizing Pharmacology: A Relaxed Approach, which will sell over 6,500 audiobook copies in its first year, I only had the narrator complete 200 drug names in a seven hour book.

For instance, physicians should know about the time the laboratory sample was drawn, potential medication interactions, or the patient's recent meals. In like manner, it is vital to understand the importance of patterns in the values over time.

Story
It's easier for pharmacists to get their kids to take medicine, and in this audiobook, I explain why. It makes so much sense for a child to take their medicine, logically. But getting children to take their medicine by justifying it logically is doomed to failure. I'm a dad with three seven-year-old triplet daughters, and I bring you into my thought process when it's time to give them medicine and how I bring them into the conversation - literally. At worst, you'll learn a lot about the most common over-the-counter medicines and some of the most prescribed pediatric medicines.

Excellent Case-Based Approach to Learning
The book really felt like I was shadowing a working professional, seeing what and how he made decisions with medicines. He gives good advice not only on how to handle each scenario, but also how to work interprofessionally with other team members. Sometimes other members will agree, sometimes they won't. The books itself make it so much easier to kind of "get it" when it comes to therapeutics, especially with the larger lists of drugs and multiple interactions. I would highly recommend the narrator and book itself.

Valuable for intermediate level pharmacists
This is a great resource for people with long commutes like I have. It’s not like a lot of other study resources that just list items in no particular order and with no context. And it’s not like most other medical audiobooks that are written to be understandable by lay people. It’s right in the middle and gives a lot of professional opinion and clinical pearls from his experience. I got a lot out of it and after having listened to the whole thing 2-3 times I had it all memorized

More suited to the American market
Although an excellent case based clinical pharmacology audiobook- really not suited to UK based clinicians.
There are many differences in drug names so that this gets quite confusing. This is especially the case when you are listening to the audiobook during long journeys into work- it is difficult to then google search what the British name for an American drug is.

I loved the drug interactions the most! As a younger pharmacist, it is sometimes difficult to decipher the relevance of a drug interaction. Being able to listen to someone talk through their thought process was really helpful.
