The three terrifying robbers in this tale turn out to have hearts of gold after they meet a little girl named Tiffany. Performer Gene Deitch narrates with great drama and homegrown sound effects, as if reading to a favorite child. Though written in the 1960s, the images viewable in the app version have a medieval feel, and kids will enjoy the vivid silhouettes and deep colors. The story might be too scary for more sensitive little kids, but braver souls will love hearing about the fierce men and their unlikely turn for the better.

cute story, captures attention

5 year and 7 year grandson loved it. the sounds were delightful. recomend it for a road trip.

Found a childhood favorite!

My sisters and I checked out this book and accompanying cassette tape from the library all the time. I haven't been able to find the audio since then, 25-30 years ago. Love the sound effects from the narrator. A quick 5 minute story for the little ones. Not too scary.

From a grandmother

This was a favorite book of my son when he was four years old. I just recently bought the hard bound book for him to read to his twin four year olds. I love the idea presented in the book in regards to turning bad deeds into good deeds. Very happy that it is still in print and I loved the audible version.
