Publisher's Summary

When New York Times foreign correspondent J. B. Collins hears rumors that an al-Qaeda splinter cell has captured a cache of chemical weapons inside Syria, he knows this is a story he must pursue at all costs. Does the commander of the jihadist faction really have the weapons? If so, who is the intended target? The U.S.? Israel? Or could it be Jordan?

With tensions already high, the impending visit of the American president to the region could prove to be the spark that sets off an explosion of horrendous proportions. Knowing that terrorist forces have already toppled two regimes in the region, can Collins uncover the truth before it's too late? Or will the terrorists succeed in setting their sights on the third and final target?

Suspense and good characters

Great realism, culturally diverse heroes, flawed characters portrayed well, surreal plot- Argh: book ending with a to-be-continued cliffhanger!!!

Rosenberg does it again!

Where does The Third Target rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Relevant, exciting and well written. Obviously the only question remaining is when does the next book come out?

What did you like best about this story?

This book is so current about the Middle East it is difficult to discern the international news from the Third Target story line.

Which scene was your favorite?

The visual imagery setting up the final scenes of this story in the country of Jordan. While possible in the story what is really wild, is this could also happen in real life.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

If this were a film I would entitle it The Growing Epicenter Impact.

Third Target eye opening thriller

Could not put it down. Listened to it again and again! Gave the hard back book to my boss, who introduced me to Joel's books years ago. Definitely thought provoking and well researched.

As fiction more truth revealed

Riveting. So close to what is happening today that I had a hard time putting it down. It is a story with attachment to characters along with the tale of events. Mesmerizing plus upsetting.great writer.

Wow!

This story definitely met and exceeded my expectations and the narrator made it even better. Don't have anything to do because you won't be able to put the story down

Excellent

This is an excellent book. The narrator made it come alive. I finished it in 3 days and will listen to it again so I can pick up on things I may have missed. Great story.

One half of a hit

I am a fan of Joel Rosenberg - but what is he thinking? Usually the main plot resolves somewhat by the end of the book. It's fun, however to get a tease of the next one. This book ends in mid-air.

What the heck, continued?

What did you love best about The Third Target?

Plenty of action and true to current situation

Who was your favorite character and why?

JB, the main character although at times I wanted to slap him with the attitude that it is all about the story

What aspect of David de Vries’s performance would you have changed?

Would have preferred a different narrator, just didn't impress me, just OK

Any additional comments?

Hate when a book is continued without giving you that info upfront. Also who knows how long the next book will be available. Poor planning. Very disappointing, I do not like being left on a cliff.

Solid!

Well written, very current, biblical prophecy expert, subtle promotion of theology (not intense or rammy), educational and accurate, well rounded story, gets you thinking about how current events relate to the Bibles predictions for the Middle East and the world, great fiction story as well.
