Publisher's Summary
Tell me your secrets....
When Alice and Leo move into a newly renovated house in The Circle, a gated community of exclusive houses, it is everything they’ve dreamed of. But appearances can be deceptive....
As Alice is getting to know her neighbours, she discovers a devastating, grisly secret about her new home—and begins to feel a strong connection with Nina, the therapist who lived there before.
Alice becomes obsessed with trying to piece together what happened two years before. But no one wants to talk about it. Her neighbours are keeping secrets, and things are not as perfect as they seem....
The million-copy Sunday Times best-selling author B A Paris returns to her heartland of gripping psychological suspense in this powerful tale of a house that holds a shocking secret.

It had my theories jumping all over the place!
I downloaded this book without even reading what it was about. From first listening the wonderful narration had me hooked.
Then as we went through it had me doubting everything. Thoroughly captivated, I felt like I knew everyone involved.
The twists and red herrings are so well written with every detail thought through.
Would totally recommend this book.

fantastic narration but a flop story
poor main character. the main character is so hard to relate to and it's even harder to understand why people appear to like her or in one's case love her. she doesn't appear to offer much to anyone other than narcissism and conspiracies.

Enjoyed on the whole
On the whole I enjoyed it. I found it dragged a bit but I became more interested about two thirds of the way through. The narrator irritated me a bit, slightly bland I thought, and almost over pronounced words, but that's just a personal thing. I would listen to more from the author.

Not the best from B.A Paris
I think I made the mistake on getting this on audio as I usually love all books by this author. Especially behind closed doors! I’ve re-read that one lots of times and made everyone I know read it too.
This one has a very good story line, a good twist & a fab ending I just didn’t feel like it was a can’t put it down book. Again I do believe if I had read this without audible I would of enjoyed it so much more

Not worth a credit
I gave up twice but finally finished this boring, predictable book. The main character is unlikeable and the ‘twist’ totally predictable. I won’t be buying anymore of this author’s books.

Disappointing
I was disappointed with the ending to this story, which started off well then began to drag midway through, and the story just got more and more ludicrous, and disjointed.I usually enjoy this author, but felt really let down, and it was very easy to guess the culprit early on in the story(even for me!)Quite liked the female narrator though

Tedious
I really tried to stick with this, but with two hours left to go, I finally gave-up. I found it rather tedious and couldn’t care about any of the characters. What a disappointment.

Weak story with weaker narrator
The story itself is weak, I guessed the storyline early on. The female narrator is poor, she lacked enthusiasm and was quite boring. She made it difficult to connect to the lead character. People who have read this rather than listened, have said it is good, so I am thinking that it is possibly the narration that made me dislike it.
