Gritty and Heartwarming

This is an amazing story about family, and how you can find it in the unexpected moments in life. It is about understanding what it means to love unconditionally on both sides of an issue. It is beautiful.

Heart-breaking

Loved the character of Hank. Did not like some of the adults, mostly Lou Ann.

Engaging but didn’t like the assumption of white race unless stated. A little bit of a downer story overall except for the 2 main children.
