Publisher's summary

The moment she starts her doctorate in Oxford, Sarah is beset with mysteries. An old portrait in her rented house bears an uncanny resemblance to her. A new lover insists he's a ghost. Her attractive, sinister supervisor obstructs her research at every turn. An ordinary hill on the meadow fills her with fear, and not just her, but also the man with whom she falls in love. And every time she has sex, she hallucinates strange places and other times.

With her own life and soul at risk, Sarah uses sex magic and a sequence of visions to travel between different times, worlds and places. On an epic journey, she battles an ancient evil to solve a mystery dating back centuries. A mystery that holds the truth of her origins and purpose.

romance story hidden under everything else

First, let's say that I agree with the other reviewers that this story does delve into the realms of pornography. The sex scenes are definitely not for the more timid listener. And, unfortunately, not all of the sex scenes further the story. But I think underneath all of the sex and witchcraft involved in the telling of this story, is the underlying message of love that can span centuries. I liked the evolution of the story with the characters learning more about each other, their heritage, and the past, leading up to the end conclusion (the second listen was better because all the little clues and memories made more sense). I think ultimately this book is about committment to the person you love. In my opinion, this book has a little bit of everything: the supernatural, mystery, romance, and erotica. If these things interest you and your sexual horizons are a little broader, you will like this book.

Love and Witchcraft

I really enjoyed this story. The love scence were more than adequate, quite hot in fact. The plot line had good twists and turns. It was well developed. We are not talking Piltzer here. But hey, would you be in erotica for that.

Couldn't get through it.

I didn't even get through this audiobook. I still had not heard anything remotely romantic when I finally gave up listening.

Well done

This is the best pornographic ghost story I've ever 'read'! Nice setting, nice characters, nice sizzle. I'd give it more stars were it not for the author's unfortunate choice to add endless descriptions of imagined codes and procedures of witchcraft that virtually grind the last quarter of the novel to a dead stop. I could have done without 2 of the 8 hours but enjoyed the remaining 6 quite a lot.

The only book I wanted my money back on.

This book is boring and gross. The book is based on a worship of a Goddess who has taken her own son as her lover. Not sexy instead horrific and repulsive. Sodomy and orgies are considered something that women love to participate in. I enjoy spice in my novels but descriptions of the sex scenes made me nauseous. No romance and I hated all the characters. I couldn???t believe a woman wrote this.

More porn than prose

If you are into descriptions of hard-core pornography, then you will love this book. Unfortunately, like it's cinematic brethren, the storyline is very weak and basically serves as a way to move from one graphic sex scene to another. Although technically it can be classified as fantasy, since it contains witches and ghosts, any reader who is actually looking for this type of story will be disappointed. The correct classification for this story is "erotica".
