Publisher's Summary

Emma Wright is in over her head. Three months ago her life was perfect: amazing job, shiny new MBA, great friends. When her job turns into a nightmare overnight, Emma feels like her life is going down the tubes. The only bright spot is her hot new boyfriend. He's the man of her wildest dreams; sexy, smart, sweet, and a master of her body between the sheets. He can't seem to get enough of her full-figured curves, so it's too bad she's starting to think he's keeping dangerous secrets.

Axel Sinclair likes control. At work, at home, in bed. He gets what he wants, and he never loses. Not until he meets Emma Wright, and she turns his well-ordered life upside down. Emma was supposed to be a job - getting his hands all over her luscious body was only a bonus. Before he knows it, Axel is in deep.

Axel is sure Emma's guilty as hell. Can he do his job and bring her down? Or will he follow his heart and claim her for his own?

Awful narrator

The narrator is awful and ruined the whole book. I didn't make it past the 2nd chapter and just barely made it through the first.

Couldn’t makeIt to the 3rd chapter. Narration was not my style

Her voices were not authentic or endearing. The characters seemed one dementional and it made the story unbearable. Perhaps it’s right for someone, not me.

Change the Narrator

I loved the storyline, but I struggled to finish because I did not care for the Narrator at all! I listened to and finished the series because they were really good, but Madison Coyle was killing me. I went on to listen to other books by Ivy Layne because using narrator CJ Bloom was an awesome upgrade!

Voices

Too much skipping in the beginning and the male voice sounds like a child that is learning to read

Really!, she's going to let him come back .<br />

I can't believe that the strong woman ends up being victimized by her lover , the hero. Further sex is used to further victimized the victim by her "lover" to win her back. I hate this story. This intelligent woman is reduced to be being a dumb nenny because of sex.

Then she is continued to be used and abused by him, the FBI and the mob. Horrible, horrible story.

This is the worst story Ivy Layne has written.

My favorite!

Of the three this one was my favorite. She forgave him a little too quickly at the beginning for my taste, I would have been way more pissed. But aside from that, this was a solid story. I enjoyed the narrator very much. I listen to an average of five books a week and some narrators are so bad I can't even finish the book.

I recommend this book.

Difficult to Finally Finish

The overall plot is decent however Emma comes across as a whiny, helpless victim of just about all men, her lover, her protector, the FBI, the mob and so on. Axel acted like a jerk on numerous occasions. I am not sure why she continued with his crap. The narrator was not very good. Her males voices did not sound like males and female voices all sounded the same. The emotions in Emma's voice did not match whatever was happening at that time in the story. When she was angered she sounded wimpy. It droned on and on in some areas and I would lose interest and switch to another book. Then I would come back to it to give it another chance and get bored with the narration or antics of Emma and stop listening again. But I finally stuck it out and finished it. I like the series and Ivy Layne's other books but this one was difficult to finish.
