the loss of information as a tragedy.

it was an incredible story about the community! I loved spending a few days with some people that lived on Aka.
I remember seeing a few people disappointed that we we saw a lot of the politics of gethen but not a lot of the actual day to day life. the Dispossessed focused very well on daily life of shevek and his academic journey.

here the community is a character in its own right, it feels so lived in and approachable. honestly, unlike with gethen or Urras and Anarres, Aka did not feel alien at all.

I have listened to three of Le Guin’s science fiction works, including her most popular, The Left-Hand of Darkness, and although the thought experiments are equally provoking, it is the nuance and development of the characters that outshines the others.

Another thoughtful story

If you like the series, this is another good one. New planet new problems, you know how it is.
