When two mid-level tax accountants realize their newly-acquired company is under attack by foreign spies, they risk their lives to stop the theft. Jim Dennis and Beth Madison were employees in the tax department of Principal Processing Company.

After Principal is acquired by Heenehan Telecom Company, Jim and Beth battle to carry out their responsibilities in the dysfunctional work environment of Heenehan. It’s not just the lack of transparency from above or the strange behavior coming from new team member Amber Wolfe. Trying to make sense of what is happening around them, and determined to do the right thing, they unwittingly become entangled with ruthless foreign cyber warriors deep within Heenehan.

With the support of friends both inside and outside the company, Jim and Beth attempt to thwart a global network intent on destroying Heenehan and all the organizations with which it does business. When a coworker winds up dead, it’s not just about doing the right thing anymore — it’s about survival.

Write what you know & it’s relatable👍🏻
The reader was too fast to hear & understand clearly. He would make a one word mistake & instead of repeating the whole paragraph or sentence he tried to record the one word. Then edit it in. The one word would be out of sync to the sentence, the ambient sound of the original recording & volume.
A good book with a bad “read by..”
Keep writing Miss Beverly, you have a talent.
I enjoyed the book, even tho the reader was rough.

Read too fast

I had to listen to this on 0.8 speed and even then some of the performance was out of sync, or badly edited. But the story was interesting enough to make me want to listen to the rest of it.
