On his last combat deployment, Lt. Cmdr. James Reece's entire team was killed in an ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government. Welcome to the new war on terror. A secret wing of Homeland Security is recruiting agents to work undercover in the Middle East, and the director wants his second-in-command, Matt Egan, to bring aboard an old friend, Salam Al Fayed—better known as Fade. He's perfect: An ex-Navy Seal and the son of immigrants, he speaks flawless Arabic. Trouble is, he's "retired"; he was wounded in the line of duty, and the government refused to pay for the risky surgery that could have helped him.

Preview:
Between 1999 and 2012, Vince Flynn published 13 books in the Mitch Rapp series. He self-published his first book, but it quickly caught the attention of a publisher and later appeared on the New York Times best-seller list for paperbacks. Flynn's second novel, Transfer of Power, introduced the character of CIA agent Mitch Rapp. In October 2007, his ninth book, Protect and Defend, rose to number one on the New York Times best-seller list. Flynn's website reports both world leaders and intelligence professionals around the world read his books, prompting one high-ranking CIA official to tell his people, "I want you to read Flynn's books and start thinking about how we can more effectively wage this war on terror."

Story
The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Story
The history of the tablets translated in the following book is strange and beyond the belief of modern scientists. Their antiquity is stupendous, dating back some 36,000 years. The writer is Thoth, an Atlantean Priest-King, who founded a colony in ancient Egypt after the sinking of the mother country. He was the builder of the Great Pyramid of Giza, erroneously attributed to Cheops. In it he incorporated his knowledge of the ancient wisdom and also securely secreted records and instruments of ancient Atlantis.

Bait and Switch
This is not a book. I was VERY disappointed to discover thet " the `12th book in the Mitch Rapp Series" is not a book at all but an overview of the first eleven books. Not worth the price or credit.
