NOW A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE STREAMING ON HULU • A warmhearted, "complex, believable, and always intriguing story” (The New York Journal of Books) that celebrates female friendship and second chances

This diner in Plainview, Indiana is home away from home for Odette, Clarice, and Barbara Jean. Dubbed "The Supremes" by high school pals in the tumultuous 1960s, they’ve weathered life’s storms for over four decades and counseled one another through marriage and children, happiness and the blues

Now, however, they’re about to face their most challenging year yet. Proud, talented Clarice is struggling to keep up appearances as she deals with her husband’s humiliating infidelities; beautiful Barbara Jean is rocked by the tragic reverberations of a youthful love affair; and fearless Odette is about to embark on the most terrifying battle of her life.

With wit, style and sublime talent, Edward Kelsey Moore brings together three devoted allies in a warmhearted novel that celebrates female friendship and second chances.

This story would make a great movie. Terrific storytelling -- colorful characters, quirky situations, all set in a southern Indiana community during the 60's,
Reminded me of Fried Green Tomatoes .

Stellar!

Such a hilarious story with laugh out loud moments, but the reader is so monotoned. I think I would have LOVED reading this book more than I did listening to someone botch the great parts.

Great story but the narrator

Would you try another book from Edward Kelsey Moore and Edward Kelsey Moore and/or Adenrele Ojo and Pamella D'Pella ?

Just like my confusion with the authors names, the characters left me confused. At times I had to go back to understand who was speaking and remind myself who the character was.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved that Odette was a full woman with a full life and character.

Could you see The Supremes at Earl's All-You-Can-Eat being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

I would actually love to see this as a movie or miniseries. Odette would be Jennifer Hudson
Clarice would be Jurnee Smolette
And Barbara Jean would be Yaya DaCosta

A bit juvenile but worth the time

Edward Kelsey Moore has put together a masterful tapestry of storytelling, character development, and poetic philosophy. The magical realism is a small part of this heart-wrenching and humorous tale.

I highly recommend multiple listens; certain themes appear that can go unnoticed the first time through, which makes every subsequent listen that much more enjoyable and significant.

This has become my at-least-once-a-year read--my favorite book! Be prepared to chuckle and sob, then guffaw!

All. The. Feels.

Where does The Supremes at Earl's All-You-Can-Eat rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This audiobook was great, as it utilized two different voices to tell the story. The difference in the voices made it feel more like I was listening to a group of women in the midst of their stories.

What did you like best about this story?

The long-term relationship amongst the friends and the visits from beyond the grave. It was also very humorous and touching at the same time.

Which scene was your favorite?

This is hard, but I would have to say the scene near the end when the fortune teller was arguing with the jilted bride. That was truly hilarious.

If you could rename The Supremes at Earl's All-You-Can-Eat, what would you call it?

The title fits the book.

Any additional comments?

Great novel. I would love to read (or listen to) more from this author.

I felt like the 4th Supreme!

Any additional comments?

I was very surprised to find out the author of this book was a man. He captures a woman's voice and thoughts so easily. I thoroughly his depiction of the three Supremes and their supporting male and female cast.

Our book club really enjoyed this

My newest favorite book! This is the story of a group of friends who met as children in the racially turbulent era of the 60's and jumps to present day which helps us KNOW these characters and love them! The focus is on the friendship within the changing times and it's easy to see that despite the world around them, their individual lives are the real story.

It is the perfect blend of (yet all its own story) The Help and Waiting to Exhale and will make you laugh, cry, and feel the outrage and frustrations of this era. This book WILL be loved by many!

Friendship, hardship, and humor!

Phenomenal listen and storyline. Loved the historical references and toggling back and forth of the different characters. Amazing.
