This Story Is Sexy

Publisher's Summary

As an Olympic rookie, Andie Foster has spent far more time in her cleats than between the sheets. For 21 years, her Friday nights have consisted of blocking shots rather than taking them. But now that she's landed in Rio, she's ready to see for herself if the rumors about the Olympic Village are true: The athletes are all sex-crazed maniacs....

The committee passes out condoms like candy....

The games continue long after the medals have been handed out. As Andie walks the line between rumor and reality, she's forced into the path of Frederick Archibald, a decorated Olympic swimmer and owner of a sexy British accent - too bad he's unavailable in a way that "it's complicated" doesn't even begin to explain. It doesn't matter that he has abs that could bring peace to the Middle East; Andie fully intends on keeping her focus on the soccer field. But everywhere Andie goes, Freddie happens to be there-shirtless, wet from the pool, and determined to show her a whole new meaning of the phrase "international affairs".

Contains mature themes.

Boring

I found this to be extremely boring and highly inaccurate. The author doesnt seem to have done any reasearch about Rio or the Olympics. I skipped chapters because of the horrible male narrator who was poorly cast. For a "sexy male lead" this narrator sounded awful. (Imagine Mike Tyson's voice). I'm glad I didn't pay full price.

Very entertaining story and memorable characters!

1. Georgie needs her own book.
2. We'll-written, entertaining, strong characters and a bat-sh*t crazy villain.
3. Good drama, romance, medium angst, sports, sex and differing points of view.

There were a few times that I skipped a few minutes ahead, mostly because of angst or making decisions while refusing to hear all of the information. On the plus side, decisions are often made with only half of the information needed!!

Definitely an enjoyable read.

MOVIE WORTHY!

This book has a little bit of everything which makes it totally enjoyable. The audible presentation was exceptional and equally enjoyable.

Too much stupidity

It was hard to get through. I skipped most of the middle by fast forwarding.

Light, swoony fun!

I love sports romance more than anything, so after finding myself in a bit of a slump, I decided to give this book a whirl and it absolutely did not disappoint. It’s full of the sort of smart humor and sparky chemistry that I love. There’s a bonafide villain and sweetly rewarding friendships and - best of all - a romance that absolutely reads like a fairytale.

I loved it! The narration was great, the story was just what I was looking for and I shed some happy tears in the end. Definitely worth the listen!

Couldn’t put it down

I didn’t expect to enjoy this like I did. I especially loved Andi’s humor, silly antics and wit. It was a fun romance, more realistic than most and I think i need to read it again. It didn’t need to have tons of sex, the love spoke for itself. Can’t help falling in love with Freddie and Andi.

Enjoyable, angsty read

R.S. Grey is a new to me author... I've heard wonderful things about her writing and decided to give her book a read.

I am so glad I did. Andie and Freddie are an Olympic match made in romance heaven. Throw in a conniving, manipulative beyotch for some drama and you have a unputdownable read.

Crazy Betrothed

I really enjoyed Andie and Freddy's story. I get that she was young and inexperienced in relationships, but there is no way I would have gotten involved with a guy who was 'betrothed' without telling him to get his house in order and then call me. But that's just me. LOVED LOVED LOVED Freddy's sister Georgie. She was a total and complete hoot.

The only reason I'm not giving this a full 5 stars is because it got a little slow in the middle for me. I found myself skimming things until it got to the place that Freddy's crazy betrothed, Caroline and his sister Georgie arrived.

I'm also not the biggest fan of the male narrator. I find his voice a little off-putting. Takes me out of the story a bit. I've heard him before and I kinda groaned when I realized it was him. But not enough for me not to continue with the series.

I couldn't get through 5 chapters because the dialogue so so boring and cliche. I have like many of RS Grey books but this was terrible:(

Great match of sports and romance

Unlike books that balance sports with romance and give insight into the effort it take to be an elite athlete
