Reseñas de la Crítica

An elegant, chilling thriller that kept me guessing – I was gripped by this clever study of love, obsession and the myths we tell ourselves about a happy ever after (Phoebe Locke)
Beautifully written and completely gripping ... a propulsive, consuming mystery (Amy Jordan)
Nothing about The Stranger at the Wedding is as it seems – especially how the happy couple came to be. Surprises lurk throughout this thrilling blend of myth, suspense, and delightfully disturbing twists (Chris Cander, author of The Weight of a Piano)
The Stranger at the Wedding is an eerie and intelligent meditation on how pasts shape us, subverting readers' expectations the moment you believe you've guessed the plot. A. E. Gauntlett has produced an expertly written tale whose characters possess rich and recondite interiorities and intentions, about which you'll be guessing until the last page (Flora Collins, author of Nanny Dearest)

I chose this book specifically for her precise vocal tones, as I've enjoyed her work in several other titles in my extensive Audible library. This offering starts strong, but I did get lost at times due to several subplots and new characters introduced; I found myself backtracking a lot. However, I persisted and was glad I did. It is a complex web of subplots, new characters that required some backtracking and requires extreme attention to every detail, so listen carefully. Annie and Mark's whirlwind romance is threatened by their past tragedies and an unexpected stranger at their wedding. This novel is a deviously dark, twisty tale of love, lies and obsession – a listen that occasionally left me at the corner of Confusion and Bewilderment. In my opinion, while parts of “The Stranger at the Wedding” were not perfect, that much deserved shocker of an ending (jaw, meet the floor) brought it all together, complete with Rundle’s superb narration. As my friend, mentor and editor wisely told me, “If everyone liked the same things, the world would indeed be a boring one.” RIP Dan Di Leo

Audictive narration by Sophie Rundle!
