For all ages

This Bible is a pleasure to listen to and informative for children of all ages and adults alike. It is engaging and gives a wonderful sense of history. It also gives short, simple explanations in just the right places. I highly recommend it!

Not what I expected

I realize this is a "story" version of the Bible and not the actual text, but there is a LOT of poetic license taken here. Right from the beginning, the author approaches this with his own doctrine and explains specifically how we should interpret certain scriptures. It's not a problem if you agree with his doctrine, but I don't, and this is not what I was hoping it would be. If you want denomination-specific and biased Bible explanation, this measures up. But if you want the Bible in story format without someone else's personal spin on it, there are better options out there. I disagree with the author's explanation of who God is and what His words intended to mean, so I actually find this book to be more of a hindrance than a help. I would absolutely not recommend this to someone who doesn't already have a firm grasp of scripture. In my opinion, it is a misrepresentation of the Bible and there is a lot you have to discern while listening.

enjoyed

We liked the Bible's stories. Good read. My six and seven year old boys enjoyed the narration and listened well through the whole thing. They asked to listen every day.

Superb!!

Very well done! I really like how Catechism is intertwined with the Salvation story. Not only does it hold my kids' attention, but they learn the teachings of our Faith as well! As a family, we gathered in the family room each morning after breakfast to listen to a chapter or two which then lead to great discussions. This has truly been a blessing for our family.

It goes beyond reading the Bible.

I understand it is a story version however the Author also interprets the bible and inserts his opinion into scriptures. I had to make the correction and explain to my son some of the errors as we don't need to add anything to God's Word. I would not be allowed to listen to it anymore.

Love the subtle sound effects, the interpretations, and even like the pace of narrator. Have my Jr. High kids liking it. That says something!

This book is well narrated. It presents Bible stories along with some theological context appropriate for children. The whole family can enjoy and learn together.

Far from biblical truth: very doctrinal

I thought I was getting a Bible story audible. What I ended up with was a story chalked full of the doctrine of men. Very disappointed; would not recommend.
