The wrestler-turned-politician hasn't hung up his wrestling boots yet. Politics is a contact sport and Jacobs is using his wrestling skills in that arena. Story
Nitro is a story about much more than WCW and the Monday Night Wars. It is a story of an era, a time in which the media and cultural landscape precipitated - and later supported - pro wrestling's mainstream popularity. It is a story of how a company made in the image of an intuitively brilliant risk-taker betrayed its original promise. It is a story of how a handful of men, each struggling with their own limitations, facilitated a public obsession that changed television forever.

Story
In 1997, World Championship Wrestling was on top. It was the number-one pro wrestling company in the world, and the highest-rated show on cable television. Each week, fans tuned in to Monday Nitro, flocked to sold-out arenas, and carried home truckloads of WCW merchandise. Sting, Bill Goldberg, and the New World Order were household names. Superstars like Dennis Rodman and KISS jumped on the WCW bandwagon. It seemed the company could do no wrong.

Publisher's Summary
Steve grew up in a small town in Texas. Always a fan of wrestling, Steve seized the chance to study it at a school in Dallas. His ability to take the bumps and hard falls required by his new profession, and his never-say-die attitude, connected him with the fans and his fellow wrestlers. His capricious firing by the WCW, World Championship Wrestling, lead to his being hired by World Wrestling Entertainment.
However, it was Steve's own ability inside the ring and his quick-witted responses that lead to his becoming one of the most popular WWE Superstars of all time. It seemed nothing could stop the Texas Rattlesnake, except himself. In 2001 Steve's life seemed to spiral out of control and he walked away from it all. Now, with his triumphal return to the world of professional wrestling, he is finally ready to tell his story, his, way.
The Stone Cold Truth is an unvarnished take on his life, his loves, and his days as a wrestler told in a way that only he could, and you know it's the truth "'cause Stone Cold says so!"

Great Story From A Legend
Great Biography from the legendary Stone Cold. I've learned so much about his struggles in the wrestling business and how he overcomes his medical hardships. He's definitely the toughest SOB around and his story proves it. Very motivational and Highly recommend. Also check out his podcast The Steve Austin Show where he interviews other legends on the wrestling business, letting them tell their stories and what they've dealt with in life and the wrestling business.

Awsome!
I like this book because though it's short, its straight to the point. If you were a stone cold fan growing up like I was, you probably think you know everything there is to know about the character, however , this is told from a different perspective and it really feels like your childhood hero is opening up to you and answering all your questions. Give this book a shot, it's worth it.
