The Voice -Aaaargh!

I only got about 4 chapters in and quit. This may be a great book in print, but as an audiobook it rates an F. It took me a few chapters of listening to that annoying voice, devoid of expression and incapable of differentiating between characters to realize that it wasn’t an actor who needs training -it was a robot! Silly me for not noticing that when I bought the book. Good subject matter enticed me. I’ve learned my lesson. Hopefully you will learn from my mistake. Skip this audiobook and read it in print.

I will never order an audiobook with virtual speak again. Not only was it monotone, but words that are spelled alike were pronounced wrong. I wish I could give the performance a negative number. I don't know whether or not the book was good. I gave three stars to the book based on the reviews of the book club members, who felt it was okay but leaned toward fiction. They said the book has information and maps in the back.
