The Spirit of Amalek

Whooo! What a chapter that one was! The last sentence reads, "Amalek is a heart condition and one that is fueled by fear and pride." This serves as a great reminder that we need to consistently do heart checks to be sure His Word is fully and wholly written on our hearts and minds that way we are behaving in a way that is pleasing to our Creator. Amalek can sneak up and we don't even realize how rebellious we are. Are we seeking our own desires? Are we afraid of being wiped out? Are we afraid of what man says? Are we using His Word as a weapon to serve our own plans and purposes or to fulfill His perfect will? So much to think about and mull over. The author wonderfully points out this great battle within the hearts and minds of leaders and prophets throughout Israel's history that allows us to connect to them in very personal ways. May we learn from their bravery and mistakes!

The narrator's voice was clear, precise and easily understood. Her tone of voice was as though she were speaking just to me and was appropriate to the subject matter. A very easy listening presentation.
