    Not very good

    I recently worked for a competitor of Southwest Airlines and have a lot of respect for their business model. This respect did not transfer to this book. I found it preachy. The basic message is that people make a corporation, which I agree with, but I thought it was a little too over the top. It talked very little, if at all, about fuel hedges, which have saved Southwest's bacon over the past five years. I thought this was a pretty bad oversight.

    Not what I expected.

    It seemed that it was more of a bragging session on why SW is better the X, Y or Z airline. I wanted more of an insight and it didn't perform that well.

    The reader was also lackluster and I didn't finish listening to it.

    Terribly Boring

    The narrator and story itself were not very exciting or engaging. The book seemed redundant and was very boring. Surprisingly, it didn’t offer much new information or insight.

    What was one of the most memorable moments of The Southwest Airlines Way?

    The way they have sticked with their main concept for over 30 years! And that they been profitable every single year since their start.

    It is not just the most successful airline in the world. They are also one of the best companies to work for, winning countless awards. It has the lowest turnover rate of employees compared to any other airlines!

    yawn

    Southwest is such an amazing company and success story yet this book is SO monotonous in its performance and flat in its delivery. Repetition of so many parts.....managed less then a third before reaching for the vodka.

    The success of Southwest Airlines explained!

    If you are a businees manager or owner of one; I will say get this book and study it..hard!
