Sir Joseph Porter consults with Sherlock Holmes requesting that he forecasts the weather. A year later, Holmes, after spending a lot of time in France, is physically and emotionally exhausted and is rescued by Watson and taken back to Baker Street. As he recovers, Holmes eventually reveals the adventure that brought him to France, financial investigations and new familial discoveries. The narration by Keith Spilsbury is outstanding. His performance brings the characters and story to life.

Strange History

For a short volume a lot of areas are covered: currency exchange, French marital laws, opera and music composing. Holes reveals family history, which has been somewhat unknown to Doctor Watson.
