Publisher's summary

Sometimes You Win: Part 1

Haley Rosewood’s life has never been easy, especially not with a class-A jerk for a boss and a marketing job that barely pays her enough to provide a roof over her daughter’s head and food for the table. Every day is a struggle, and the thought of being romantically involved with anyone is a dream she doesn’t dare indulge.

Devon Carrington is the type of man to give the shirt off his back to anyone in need, and when he finds Haley struggling through a bad day, he does everything he can. In return, he asks that she help him pick out lottery numbers and tells her that if he wins, she gets half.

When the winning numbers are drawn, and Devon and Haley learn that they have won, can the two of them put their one-night stand behind them and build something for the future? Find out in Sometimes You Win.

Sometimes You Lose: Part 2

It’s been three weeks since Haley Rosewood and Devon Carrington won the lottery. Most people would picture their days taking them from one exciting journey to another and their nights filled with champagne and caviar as appetizers to unbridle their passion - but that’s not what happens.

Instead, Haley is trying to find a new home, a place to start her business, and a way to keep control of her life. Devon is only trying to help her, but it seems that everything he does just pushes Haley’s buttons in the wrong way.

When a new contract comes into his security company, it threatens not only the future of his company, but Haley and Allison’s welfare, as well. Devon must take drastic measures to stop it, and Haley has to trust him, but can she before it’s too late? Or will her trust in him be what destroys her in Sometimes You Lose?

Sometimes You Play the Game: Part 3

Haley Rosewood’s life has been turned upside down by the man she loved and trusted - not only is she locked up in a jail cell, away from her daughter, but she has no idea whom to trust. Frustratingly, Haley will have to depend on Devon’s siblings to extricate her from a legal embroilment that could leave her in prison for years.

Devon Carrington did what he thought was right to protect Haley and her daughter Allison, but everyone around him has a different opinion: Eric thinks he’s crazy, Brenda is furious, and Chuck just shakes his head.

Haley must put aside her emotions and pretend to be something she’s not in order to return home and be with her daughter. Finding the proof that she was telling the truth is going to be harder than she anticipated, and when ghosts from her past arrive at her front door, she’s not sure she can trust them.

Will Haley be able to prove she didn’t kidnap her daughter, or will she end up losing everything and having to watch her daughter grow up from behind bars? Find out in this final installment of the Sometimes Series trilogy.

I was just wowed

The Sometimes Series: Win, Lose & Play Book Set
By: Stacy Eaton Narrated by: Julie Walters, Gene Branson

This series is a perfect Pretty Woman type of story, only without all the prostitution parts. Oh yea, if Vivian was a single mom that is.

Ok, seriously, I loved this cute series. The characters were well developed. New characters were introduced through the series, which added to the already intriguing story. I couldn’t wait to start the next book with every ending. I was able to guess who Frank was right away; however, I definitely was not expecting the ending to be so action packed. I was just wowed.

I really liked this series and rate it with 4 stars. I recommend it.

Devon and Haley

I loved the two main characters, but communication is not their forte at all. From the start. Devon does everything in his power to help Haley and do what's best for her and Allison. There should be no trust issues , but she doubts Devon at every turn which made me furious. She never makes plans real or virtual for Devon in her life or her future. She seems to go out of her way to leave him out of her plans , when he tries to include her in all if his!!! Smh! For most of the last book Haley was a reactionary shrew ,. but Devon kept on being his steady supportive self. By the end Haley stops being a biotch. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The duet narration brought the story to life.

Great Box Set!

This was my first Stacy Eaton's books. I love this Series (Box Set). The three books are great and entertaining (Sometimes You Win, Sometimes You Lose, and Sometimes You Play the Game). I love the two main characters, Haley and Devon. Devon is handsome, supportive and protective. Haley is a strong woman and a good mother for her daughter Allison. The secondary characters are also very interesting. The story is well written, captivating, action packed, intriguing and filled with unexpected twists and turns. I love the HEA. This Box Set is a really good value! I'm looking forward for more books written by this author. Julie Walters and Gene Branson are both new narrators to me. The narration was great and easy to listen. I enjoyed my listening. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

I’ve been up down and around

Omg, I didn’t know what was going to happen. Haley was all over the place with her emotions and feelings about Devan. I was so hurt when everything went down. I didn’t think it would work itself out. Sooo glad it did. I love the ending announcements and wish there was more to it, like the next chapter ... what you say Stacy Eaton you’ve got a new listener. Not to mention my husband was asking me what happened. Now he wants to listen to the story.

This book was awesome

Too Drawn Out

This box set is three books dealing with the same two people. I felt that the three books could have easily been reduced to two if not one book. There is action, adventure, suspense, mystery, drama and steam with several twists and turns. Even with all these things, I found my attention wondering, almost getting bored. The main female is not someone I really cared for. She was immature in so many ways which had me rolling my eyes way too often. Devon is a sweetheart but almost too much so. Although I could deal with that easier than I could Haley's behavior. The narration was alright. I just finished listening to both narrators share narrating two other books by another author (which was awesomely done) so this narration fell a bit short for me. Overall, if you don't mind redundant actions, immature (her)/overly considerate (him) behavior and a story stretched out too far then you'll enjoy this series. Myself...meh, take it or leave it.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Sometimes

This was a great series by Stacy Eaton. I loved the Narration by Julie Walters and Gene Branson.
This is a sweet happily ever after series but not without a lot of ups and downs. Imagine being dead broke and winning the lottery. All kinds of "friends" come out of the wood work.
Haley and Devon find each other, lose each other and find each other again.
Every time I was in the car or doing work at my desk, I was listening to this story.
You can't go wrong with a Stacy Eaton book.
