Publisher's Summary

Welcome back to the Blue Solace!

Morgan Murray is an easy, fun-loving guy. He excels at being a soldier, but never wanted more out of life. Somehow, he ends up in a position of authority on Dru's new ship, the Blue Sparrow. Now he has to deal with what he dreads most. Responsibilities. Dru and her crew are given the task of finding Wyatt Morrick and telling him about his father's death. Along the way, Morgan soon learns that responsibility can be painful, difficult, and frightening. It can also lead to something very special.

Dr. Wyatt Morrick is in trouble. Big trouble. He and his medical crew are stuck on a planet under attack. He may not be a soldier, but he has patients and friends to worry about. With very few supplies left, something has to give for them to survive. The whole planet's future is at stake and he is stuck hiding in a cave.

When Morgan saves Wyatt and his friends, the two men are given a gift: each other. Their love can't stop the Concord, though, and someone has to. Morgan has to grow and accept his responsibilities, and Wyatt has to move on from his father's death. That death just happens to be a little more complicated then Wyatt expected.

Author's Note: 55,000+ words. This is a m/m love story with no angst and no cheating, just a HEA. There is lots of action, sex, mpreg, and a few potty mouths involved in the story. 18+ listeners only, please. It is also the third book in a series that is best heard in order. Listen to The Mercenary's Mate and The General's Mate first!

Overall comment: • Great addition to the series, I had a stronger emotional connection to this one than the previous two. This series continues to be well written with good pacing and an interesting cast of characters.
• Connor Brown continues to do a great job on the narration, consistently narrating the cast of characters, their emotions and quirks throughout the series.

Fantastic listen

I have to start with a confession and a warning. This was my first listen in the series, and it is definitely NOT stand alone. It doesn't have the world-building and character introductions you would normally expect to see. That said, I still thoroughly enjoyed the action, humor, playful banter, and sweet love. This is a pretty easy-going, low angst story, and I am definitely going to go back and look for the first two audiobooks in the series.

The narration was great with different voices and attitudes for the different characters. Great delivery and pacing.

I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Sweet Listen

First, I must state that I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. To understand what was going on with this series, I purchased the first two audiobooks and binge listened to them. They are instalove and go at a fast pace, and if you're in the mood for something sweet, you will not be disappointed. There are a lot of characters in each book and the narrator had a voice for each one. Stellar job Connor!! I look forward to the remaining books to come out with audio versions as well and will add these series to my Guilty Pleasure Book Shelf.

as good as the ebook

The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.
