Great girl power book that leaves your feeling like you should call your bestie and ensure that all her wrongs are righted!

When a con cons a con

Con Artist, that is.

Jessica, the main character, is telling us the story as she plots and carries her plans for revenge. It is all very interesting hearing her inner thoughts and there is a bit of glee every time she is successful. She is a strong and determined character who doesn't worry about being predictable or fitting into anyone's ideal of her.

Her partner in love and in schemes is in the hot seat. Throughout the book the large looming question is: how much can we trust him? Is he telling the truth?

As we wonder about his integrity, we also wonder where all the plotting and planning is going. Will Jessica be successful? After all, she is up against a pro. A pro who taught her everything.

I really enjoyed the plot, characters and narrator. was not a fan of the music or sound effects

Interesting book

Loved the narration and the plot. I could definitely see this as a hit movie in cinemas with popcorn and all. It would be a great watch. Loved it 🥰

I loved the way the storyteller was talking g me, the reader. Engaging storytelling, empowering and lots of redemption for reader and storyteller.

Unexpected and a worthy addition to library

If you enjoy a bit of dark humour and a good plot. This is such a good listen. It also is a clever play on “ Woman scorned”, rooting for the female characters and not painting a picture of a bitter and hateful person. Ten out of ten.

It had major Ocean’s 11 energy

A Smart Girl’s Guide to Revenge surprised me in the best way. It had major Ocean’s 11 energy — full of clever twists, unexpected alliances, and a smartly layered plot that kept me guessing. Just when I thought I had it figured out, the story took another turn that made it even better.

The characters were sharp, witty, and perfectly imperfect, and the pacing made it easy to get swept up in their schemes. What really impressed me was the ending — it wrapped up more satisfyingly than I expected, leaving me smiling and feeling like justice had been served (with a side of girl power).

If you love a good revenge story with brains, humor, and heart, this one’s worth the read.
