creepy

Whatever it was that was going on, I didn't like it. I din't like the whiny kids or their dim, unaware mother. And when it came down to it, I didn't like the politics.

Surprised by Lilian Beckwith

Lilian Beckwith was a favourite of mine in the 90s. Seeing the titles on Audible, I knew I was going to enjoy, however, the story has an unexpected twist and is thrilling. It depicts the journey of a young mother with her three children as they escape from life changing tyranny, very much in the moment of real life in Europe at present. Excellent. Highly Recommended.

Fabulous dystopian survival story!!!

I so enjoy Lillian Beckwith who writes about Scottish people in the Islands. Her books are always a fascinating insight into a different way of life and with great plots too. This book is basically a dystopian survival struggle of a family as the Government is overthrown by rebels. I listened it through in one weekend sitting. Thank you very much Audible and please can you provide more by this wonderful author.
