Highlighting the Christian characteristics of three sample early colleges, Harvard, Yale, and Princeton, Engleman reveals how the Kant-energized religion of science aggressively drove the old faith out of the schools in the late 1800s. The result has been a disaster, both temporally and eternally. What remains is a call for American schools to regain an eternal perspective—a perspective most excellently expressed by a great Harvard man nearly four centuries ago: "Let every student be plainly instructed, and earnestly pressed to consider well, the main end of his life and studies is, to know God and Jesus Christ, which is eternal life, and therefore to lay Christ at the bottom, as the only foundation of all sound knowledge and learning." How compromise and lies took down education.

Immanuel Kant was insane but sounded intellectual enough to give the wolves the apostle Paul warned about what they wanted. Kant and his false teachers at Harvard and Yale caused total apostasy. Christians who want to understand what happened should get this book. It also serves as a warning. ⚠️ Do not depart from the whole counsel of God. The Bible is the word of God. You cannot compromise with the world or try to win the world by lies and compromise.
