Easter is next week which makes it the perfect time to discuss the time one of the members of the Mount Rushmore of slashers was reborn – kind of. We’re of course talking about 2002’s Halloween: Resurrection. If you haven’t seen it in a while, it may be time to revisit it so you can adjust your rankings of the Halloween films accordingly because this has to be the worst of the bunch. Half-baked characters and awful cinematography doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of this dreadful movie. That being said, our episode is way more enjoyable than whatever it is Busta Rhymes and Tyra Banks are producing (which isn’t saying much, but, you get it.) Tune in as we discuss how Loomis would appeal to Gens Z and Alpha, Tracy Morgan playing Michael Myers, and of course MrBeast hosting season 2 of Dangertainment. Not every A24 horror flick is a slam dunk. Such is the case with Love Lies Bleeding director Rose Glass’s first film Saint Maud. Despite a fantastic lead performance and incredible imagery, the movie spends 80 minutes spinning its wheels before suddenly revealing an explosive ending that almost makes up for the lack of story that came before it - but not quite.
