Same Ole Story

This book was about 16 hours too long. If you have read any Will Trent/Grant County books, it’s very predictable. I even had to verify that this wasn’t a re-release because the ending was so familiar. The Formula: Once again, Sara is in distress and danger, some women are horrendously brutalized, Amanda and Faith are mean and sarcastic, but all the world still revolves around Sara. This should not be called a Will Trent book, but a Sara Linton book. And I have had enough.

Slaughter and Early are a wonderful team.

I love Slaughter’s writing with her great characters, sharp wit and gritty mysteries. Kathleen Early is one of the best narrators in the business. The synergy these two create is remarkable.

Will Trent returns, but it’s clearly more about his girlfriend Sarah Litton. It’s a great mystery and a fun one for listening.

Top 3 Best books in the series!

I couldn’t stop listening! So many twists and turns. I haven’t read Grant County series but this books makes me want to read. I love Will and Amanda’s conversations and story!

This book has been the best one yet in the series! I have one more to go and I don’t want it to end. I really hope there will be more of Sara and Will.

Karin Slaughter is my favorite author, love that she ties the stories together

Loved that she mentioned there will be more books for the series. Looking forward to hearing more about the characters!

Good story, however extreme use of foul language

The Will Trent stories are excellent. Seems as if all characters have hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). Sweating is mentioned so much that its mention is like a neon sign. I have found this true with all of her books as she punctuates with "sweat".
This does not take away from the quality of the story. It is quite noticeable though.
Also, the foul language is over the top.

Totally unexpected! Book kept me listening, that's for sure! Great narration. Great job Karen. Keep using the narrator, she is very good.

Another Great One

I am a huge Karen Slaughter fan. The Will Trent series just keeps getting better. That said, this one was not for everyone and I would caution anyone with sexual trauma to be very careful with this one. I really respect and appreciate the truthful, realistic way KS handled such a delicate topic. I look forward to more in this series.

She Always Keeps Me Going

I love Karin Slaughter...pretty much everything of hers I've read, I've loved. I've almost read all of her books at this point.

This one was another great one and I can't wait for more!
