good story

terrible narration with glitches and other stuff that almost caused me to give up and stop.

Good Story, Lame Presentation.

This is the second in the Sunlit Silence series, which focuses on an American pilot flying for the RAF during the Battle of Britain and the Blitz. I'm not sure if there is a 3rd book in this series. This book is offered free to Audible clients. The story is good, but there are a few negatives, for me at least. I hated how the author used a downing in the Channel and a rescue by a fisherman and his daughter, for the protagonist, Trip, to recap the first book. It was a waste of my time, to be retold what I had just spent hours listening to. Another downside for me is that the protagonist is so dang perfect. What I dislike the most, though, is the AI narrator. The phrasing is terrible. The AI narrator does a complete injustice to pronouncing acronyms and technical terms, often making it difficult, to understand what is being said. I really got tired of hearing 'Jew'-87, 'Jew'-88, and 'Doe'-17. With those negatives out of the way, I have enjoyed the story, as it does a pretty nice job of giving the readers a feel for the airwar over Britain. I recommend this book to anyone with an interest in the RAF, and the Battle of Britain and the Blitz.

This is a great story told well by author Frank Mason. I will definitely read more by this author. I will never buy an audio book that is narrated by "Virtual Voice" again.

decent book, some..."scenes" 18+ but really cool fight scenes

lots of love making between the main character and various girls so I think 18+ great book though cool fight scenes but I've counted and there is only 3 good fight scenes unfortunately and it also leavs you on a horrible cliffhanger and there is no book two as far as I know so OVERALL decent but 18+ and you gotta be ok with cliffhangers.

like the storyline and details of the book. Enjoyed the attitude of Trip and hod southern gentleman's attitude and demeanor.
