He has found his destiny. But to claim the throne of Azmahar, Rashid Aal Munsoori needs Laylah Aal Shalaan. Seducing her into marriage will defeat his rivals - and if she becomes pregnant with his heir, his hold on his homeland will be complete. Laylah has always secretly loved Rashid. Her sexy sheikh might be scarred inside and out, but that only makes her love him more until she discovers his true motives. She may never again trust her lover, but how can she walk away from the father of her unborn child - a baby destined to ally their two desert kingdoms forever?

Sexy, tortured, ex Special Ops,Billionaire Rashid has a goal - to become the next King of his country but he needs a particular woman to achieve it and makes his devious plans to claim her. Laylah has been in love with Rashid since they were childhood friends but he never took any notice of her until her life was under threat one night and he mysteriously came to her rescue. She knew what she wanted… Rashid and set about getting him (not very graphic sex scene) but things were moving very fast and there were a lot of shocking secrets yet to be unearthed.
Rashid thought she was going to be like the other women in her family spoilt and scheming but when he rescues her he realised she's nothing like them and falls really hard for her. Laylah can't believe her luck - the man of her dreams that she has been fantasizing about for all of her life wants to marry her…. but it only takes one trip to her Mother's house to see all her hopes and dreams come crashing down. Even when Rashid humbles himself their story looks as if it'll never have a HEA ending.
Worth a credit? A passionate, intense and heartbreaking love story that's creditworthy IMHO but at only 6 hours long you may want to wait until it's on sale. Also, this could be a stand-alone listen which is a good job as the other 2 books aren't yet available on Audible.

Would you listen to The Sheikh's Destiny again? Why?
Yes, because I enjoyed the story and the narrator. What other book might you compare The Sheikh's Destiny to and why?
Other Olivia Gates novels (which there aren't enough of on Audible, tbh)Would you listen to another book narrated by Suzanne Cypress?
Yes, her voice reminds me of Susan Eisenberg, which is especially fantastic to listen to when there's female dialogue. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes, there was.Any additional comments?
I like the story, and the narrator, BUT:The pause between some of the lines was so long that sometimes (so often that it became an annoyance) I had to check whether the audiobook was still playing!
Pause between lines is way too long!
