When 18-year-old Rose came to Temnota as an exchange student, she discovered that even in a country full of shapeshifters, a time traveler is a princess. But she hated the oppressive government ever since she was abused at the airport. So when the rebels asked for help freeing their imprisoned leader Libera, she agreed. Rose knew that without Libera, the rebellion would be crushed. And then Temnota would become an even worse prison for its people.
Together with Gavrilo, the prince of all good shapeshifters, Rose must go to the past to find the key to the cell. But a secret policeman, the king of the evil shapeshifters, and The Beast, a monster no one has ever seen but everyone fears, stand in their way. Libera is about to get executed, and Rose and Gavrilo are running out of time. As if that is not enough, they can’t even touch each other because of their incompatible abilities.
