Publisher's summary

From the New York Times best-selling author of the Gabriel trilogy comes the hotly anticipated follow-up to The Raven, a sensual novel set in Florence featuring the dangerously intoxicating coupling of Raven and William....

Raven Wood's vampyre prince has returned, pledging his love and promising justice for every wrong done to her. In the wake of their reunion, Raven is faced with a terrible decision - allow the prince to wreak vengeance against the demons of her past or persuade him to stay his hand. But there is far more at stake than Raven's heart....

A shadow has fallen over the city of Florence. Ispettor Batelli will not rest until he uncovers Raven's connection to the theft of the priceless art from the Uffizi Gallery. And while the prince hunts a traitor who sabotages him at every turn, he finds himself the target of the vampyres' mortal enemy.

As he wages a war on two fronts, he will need to keep his love for Raven secret or risk exposing his greatest weakness....

This edition only - includes exclusive bonus material from Gabriel's Inferno.

Worth the Wait!!!!!

Would you listen to The Shadow again? Why?

The story is enchanting. That addicting love between the powerful being and the kind human is written in a very attractive way.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Shadow?

Transitioning between the human world to the underworld in the book gave it an interesting edge that wasn't there is Sylvian Reynard's previous series.

What does John Michael Morgan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

John M. Morgan has a very melodic voice. it's drugging, appealing, and soothing to the senses.

Nice Twist to the Story

Such a talented writer. Especially enjoyed the last few chapters. The narrator's voice for William is so sexy.

I love this story line. The characters are relatable. Sylvain Reynard makes me want to go and research all the arts and people in his book. I and left hungry for more of this story to see how the characters come out of this. Thank you

Love the interlaced storylines

I love the connections among Gabriel and the Florentine series as well as the Man in Black. Very well written. Suspense, romance, action all rolled into one!

Oh to be in Florence with Prince William!

The story line kept you glued to the book. Passion, angst, power struggles abound. I want to see Florence badly with all the descriptive detail.
The narrator's timber of his voice and the emotion he gave the characters has been fabulous the entire series!!!

Awesome read!!!!!!

I loved this book couldn't put it down. When William shows Raven her present she is shocked of who she sees locked in a cage. Raven calls her sister to see what she would want to happened to their step father, but Cara doesn't want to talk about it. William knows that their is a traitor in his company but he still doesn't know who. When William goes to his office with his assistent he sees his office in disarray and finds out that the traitor has taken is army and his throne. When Cara and her boyfriend are down stairs Raven goes to open the door for them, but someone stops her from closing the door. While the first traitor has Raven and her sister the other traiter has William and has order his to execute him.

The last half

4.5 stars for me. The first half of this story was disappointing only because the author made the mfc so righteous sounding. She was so stuck that her beliefs were the only way that she didn't even give the mmc a thought. I would've understood her standing behind her beliefs more so if she even tried to listen to the man she claimed to love. However, with that said the second half of this story is a 5 stars for me. It was exciting and expanded the story to a new level. I'm excited to continue.
