A magnificent old church faces demolition until a handful of supporters rally to save the landmark. But soon the church's defenders begin to die. Accidents or murder? The task of unraveling the mystery falls to the Vatican's handsome and sophisticated Father Lorenzo Quart. But first he must track down the identity of a savvy computer hacker known only as Vespers, and find a way to resist the considerable charms of a stunning Spanish beauty bent on seduction.

Eccesiastical thriller with vivid characters

This novel has everything, including a compelling protagonist, shady characters, a femme fatale, and many plot twists. It is skilfully performed by the late Christopher Cazenove, who handles all the exotic names and voices with ease. A good listen.

Optionnel mes fouilles

Not like his other books, I prefer fencing master or la table de Flandre. Voilà
