Publisher's Summary

Book five in the Amazon number-one best-selling Three Rivers Ranch series. An Amazon number-one best-seller in Christian western romance.

Can a devastating injury actually be a blessing for Reese and Carly?

Life has finally started to settle down for Sergeant Reese Sanders after his devastating injury overseas. Discharged from the Army and now with a good job at Courage Reins, an equine therapy center at Three Rivers Ranch, he's finally found happiness. Then down-on-her luck Carly Watters becomes his veteran care coordinator and wants to assist him with tasks he most definitely doesn't need her help with - until a horrific fall puts him right back where he was years ago: injured and depressed.

Carly dislikes small towns almost as much as she loathes cowboys. But she finds herself faced with both when she gets assigned to Reese's case. Because of his injury, she moves to Three Rivers to help him full-time, and her unhappiness follows her around like a dark cloud.

Reese will need to let go of his embarrassment and pride to allow Carly to help him - and love him. And Carly will have to admit that living in small-town Three Rivers is actually a blessing - because it led her to Reese. Do they have the humility and faith to make their relationship more than professional?

Great story if you can bear the narration

The narrator drags out the ends of most of her sentences, which becomes really annoying after a bit. Carlie becomes Carrrleeeee. Week becomes weeeek. Another is annnooootthheer. You get the idea. Carlie and Reece have an attraction going for them, but Carlie risks her new job by becoming involved with someone from the ranch. Will this relationship end before it can truly begin? The story keeps the listener involved and entertained, if you can overlook the reading. 8-)

Cowboy injured Veteran finds love

Story: 4.5 stars *I received this audiobook in exchange for my honest review* Reese and Carly are both insecure for different reasons, but their relationship gives them both strength and feelings of 'being enough'. Reese is getting along fine when his Veteran Care Coordinator changes. Suddenly, his coordinator is a beautiful young woman and Reese is smitten. At first, he pushes away her offers of help, but then allows her to do little things, just to keep her around. When Reese is re-injured, however, Carly jumps in to help and Reese, who is ashamed to be seen as weak, is a growly, grump. Carly perseveres, though, and as Reese heals, their relationship deepens to the point where Carly could lose her job over it. Carly feels that she doesn't measure up to her mom's expectations. She has an older sister and a twin who are much more successful than she. So she covers her insecurities with her beauty and a cheerful, if sometimes fake, smile. This love story is fraught with realistic situations that need to be overcome for our hero and heroine to get together. Narration; 4.5 stars As usual, Ms. Doughty does a wonderful job! She has perfected a cowboy drawl and has a voice low enough to make the male voices believable. *poor, **ok, ***good, ****very good, *****something special

Reese is desperate to find a way Carly can stay in Three Rivers.

A great addition to the Three Rivers Ranch series that is connected but can also stand alone. Carly is the new vet coordinator over Sargeant Reese Sanders. But why does he turn her into jelly -her job’s on the line to keep it professional. Reese who’s been stitched together more times than he can count after an IED encounter in Afghanistan can’t believe anyone could be interested in his broken self. Set at Courage Reins an equine therapy facility that helps many veterans. I had already read the book and was given a free code to listen to this, it was like catching up with old friends who love and care for each other in all their brokenness. Liz tells great cowboy stories that’s clean with a touch of inspiration thrown in. This is a great group of men and their woman to follow and fall in love with.

Sweet story

A sweet story of the seventh brother in a family of Sergeants finding new life on a Ranch - and love with his newbie, never-set-foot-on-a-ranch care coordinator. So glad I have the collection that gives a bit of insight how their Happily-Ever-After continued to develop in cameo appearances in the books after this. I've enjoyed SECOND Chance Ranch, THIRD Time's the Charm, and FOURTH and Long for several years - over and over again. What a delight to now have FIFTH Generation Cowboy, this one here (The Seventh Sergeant) and the Eight Second Ride. And the "prequel", book 8, which looks back at how it all began. I had previously written a glowing review (on 6/17 - and told the narrator about it in an email) but for some reason, my review unlike a bunch of others, didn't show up.

Another great!

Loved this book! Carley and Reese are a perfect match, or are they?? Reese has a lot of baggage to work through.... but then so does Carley! Can they clean their trunks and make the right combo happen?? The writing again is awesome, love this author! The narrator is the perfect pick for this series! She does a fab job! Well, well done!!

Book 6

So I have to go back a review books 1-5, I listen to them this past weekend and forgot to the review then. I'm enjoying the slight mix of military and cowboy. The connection between the male lead and female lead are amazing. Having God in the mix makes it even sweeter for me. I would recommend the whole series based on books 1-6.

Sweet romance

I really enjoyed listening to The Seventh Sergeant. Reese and Carly's story was an emotional rollercoaster. Carly is a social worker, and Reese is a wounded veteran, he is the one she is supposed to help. I loved both characters and I think you will too. Highly recommend. Can' wait to listen to the next in the series.

Good Story

Another winner, for Liz Isaacson. You will fall in love with Carly, intrigued of how she is wearing orchid satin shoes to a ranch. To met veteran Sergeant..Reese, at his Three River Ranch. Two stubborn people, from different life styles. She flees and takes another job, and place Till a grant comes thru for her to return, as a non clinical social worker..She misses her veterans, ranch, horse, and love of Reese. Will she return. A delightful book from beginning to end. Received ARC audio for my honest opinion of which I have given
