Pleasantly surprised

I was purely going off of vibes picking this book and I'm glad I did. The cliffhanger at the end has me upset I started this one before book two is out but I'm not mad it got me out of a slump after a not great book so worth the cliffhanger!

love the twists & turns.

I hate the cliffhanger but overall, I enjoyed the story. I wish there were better physical descriptions of the characters and clothes, I had some trouble imagining them. I enjoyed the narrator, my only complaint is that I've become spoiled expecting male narrators to speak the male voices. Hearing the female narrator try to do a male voice made it hard to take the seriousness of the male character. I look forward to the sequel.

What a story!

Loved every chapter. Super funny and not cliche. Loved the main characters and even the side characters. Kingsley could build a bloodlines universe with all of the interesting characters.

single narration that kicks behind

wonderful job, story was refreshing and addictive. Characters are developing nicely and side ones will get their moment into destorying evul ones. Can't wait for second one.

The FMC is not a helpless 20 year old. Truly morally gray characters. The main characters make decisions based on their goals. Not just because they’re in love and they’re trying to make sure their love happens all the time and every second of every page.

High octane, fun plot!!

One of the best books ever I’ve read and highly recommend. It had twists and turns and kept me guessing.

A stand out in this genre

Read too many fantasy romance books and they all start to sound the same. Not this one! Kathryn Ann Kingsley has a talent for making you fall in love with the villains and she doesn’t let you shy away from their darkness. Nope she goes full throttle into the void. I hope these two paint the town red in the next book!!!

Very good storyline

I loved the plot twists and the fact I didn’t see it coming. Cliffhanger ending with no resolution. Can’t wait for the next one.

Read this book!!

I went into this book completely blind, and I’ve never read anything by this author before. I have to say—it was amazing! You won’t regret picking it up. If you’re new to fantasy, this is a fantastic place to start, but even seasoned readers will love it. You will not be disappointed—I promise! Cannot wait until two!

LOVED IT!

Fantastic book! Totally original plot with an interesting world build and great sexual tension. Definitely not an average smutty vampire story . The slow building heat and male and female POV made for an extremely engaging listen. I do wish there had been a male narrator as well but it doesn’t detract much from the story. Maybe could have done with a tad more detail in the sex scenes but that’s just me(my dirty mind😏😉). Terrible cliffhanger And a half at the end! Omg I almost threw a tantrum. Besides that I loved every bit of this story. Definitely making it onto my favorites list- very high relisten potential, especially once I can get the rest of the series. I highly recommend. More than worth a credit, though you may want to wait until book 2 is out.
