Such a great story!

For me, everything I love about historical fiction, fun …adorable characters, entertaining, real history included, descriptive, beautiful narration, clean, and cozy listening.

What a great historical mystery

I loved this book about Geoffrey Chaucer's granddaughter, the Duchess Alyce Chaucer. The story flows along beautifully and the characters are well developed. Christina Hardyment obviously did her research and provided lots of details about the royal machinations during the War of the Roses as well as how a household was run during the 15th Century. Mostly you should read it because it's so much fun.

Love the characters

Great novel. Great narrator. I Loved the detail for the period and story was very compelling. I am looking forward to listening to more books in this series.
