Took a while to get to the tips

This book was worth reading - it motivated me to love myself, so the goal was met, but her personal story dragged out too long - I would have preferred more tips in a more organized fashion in the beginning of the book.

Not for me.

Perhaps it would have been a better book to read rather than listen to so that I could hear it in my own voice. The author’s voice and deliverance was distracting for me personally so I found that I could only stand it in small chunks.

Aside from the performance, I felt like the entire book was circumventing something but never really getting there. Almost like an “I did it, and you can too!” book. I found it a bit repetitive and even contradictory at times. There were some good pieces of advice but mainly fluff mixed with personal stories I found it hard to connect with and motivational quotes.

Surface level for me

I am all about encouraging body positivity and self love, but it all revolved around body weight. I am also not religious, so the comments about loving yourself because “God is Love” didn’t do it for me. It felt rather surface level and not digging deep enough in my opinion. I’m not going to downplay the seriousness of an ED, as I am a survivor myself, but self love isn’t just about how much you weigh, how much weight you gain it’s so much more than that.
I would recommended this to people who are currently in the throws of struggling to lose weight, and that being all encompassing for you, and people who believe in God. Just not for me, best wishes.

It’s not her, it’s me

I really just couldn’t get into the book. I thought it had some great messages but I never got hooked on it. Was wondering if I was just not in the right state of mind.

Great read but for a very specific audience

I enjoyed the book and learned a lot but had difficulty connecting the authors specific experiences with my own.

A Very "Self-Aware" && Vulnerable Truth

I listened deeply to her words--
I could tell where she had Self-Doubt..
Her intentions kept to her word
This time =

And what a Beautiful thing --
To Self-Actualize:
From Your own Suffering?!

Your words gave me more

Truly transformative

I’ve never been so profoundly impacted by by a book. Well, at least not in a very long time. I was literally moved to tears when I finished this book, I feel more ready than ever before to truly start loving myself. Kaiser brings so much wisdom and research to the material, presenting it in a very accessible and colloquial manner. It’s like talking to an old friend. I found the material really captured so much - from Buddhist thought to thoughts around the soul as discussed by Gary Zukav to ideas about the laws of attraction and so much more. But none of it feels like she’s hitting you over the head. I draw these comparisons not because she made them, but because they resonated with what I’ve read recently. Ideas around being fully present and investing in yourself and the world around you with resonance aren’t new ideas but Kaiser presents them in a way that helps them really sink in and resonate to the core of your being. And for that alone, I can‘to stop recommending this book. Read it now.
