Great info - distracting mispronunciation

I’m learning a lot, but I can’t help but feel part of the appeal to audiobooks is learning pronunciations as well… and this book has LOTS of errors in that regard.

Get past the mispronounced names. It’s worth it

He mispronounces lots of stuff, aside from that everything else is top shelf. The narrators voice is perfect for voice work. His pacing is perfect.
Lots of interesting information done in an entertaining way.
Absolutely get this if you’re curious about the occult.

In a work such as this, pronunciation = everything

The work was massacred by the narrator. His ignorance of proper pronunciation of western terms destroys the opportunity to enjoy and learn from exposure to an audible presentation of this opus. I was frustrated and disappointed.

Essential for human progress..

Dense, academic and lengthy, but full of esoteric and philosophic insights that merit more than one reading.

I actually like this narrator:

Many people dislike this narration. He mispronounces things and at one point he actually ends a sentence like a question, like a person would do if they're reading something extremely unfamiliar. But I think that adds to the experience. This is knowledge that's supposed to be hard work for people to attain. This guy probably has magical abilities by now! it's a great introductory book, every part of the occult/new age has its own chapter, from tarot cards to Rosicrucians. Very interesting, but dry and overly detailed at times if being used as an intro.

This was one of the best reads of my 2022 Philosophy 🕳. Great book, loaded with different references and information.
