Good story

Story was really good. I enjoyed the twists and turns throughout. The only "complaint" I have is that the narrator's voice for the men was always angry sounding which made it hard to get the tone of what they where saying at times.

Would you listen to The Secret Sister again? Why?

Loved the story, kept my attention through out the book. I think my only wish would be that the "secret" part started a little sooner. Looking forward to listening to more books from Ms. Novak.

Have you listened to any of Carly Robins’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is my first time and I want to commend the narrator of this book. To me, she is perfect for this job. Listening to the book I did not once think about the narrator, only about the story and characters. In many of the audio books I listen to the narrator has some quality about the way they read that distracts me from the story and that was not the case with this book at all. I hope to run across this narrator more often.

Good Story, Questionable Ending.

I greatly enjoyed the mystery within the story, and the characters were engaging and lovable. For some reason the resolution of the mystery didn’t quite work for me. Also at the point where the author tries to “redeem “ the villainess, that part didn’t feel believable to me, because she had been so consistently cold and unlovable. Difficult to redeem her at the end from my perspective.

So much more than I expected

The description sounded interesting and I like the author so as this title is part of the Audible escape package I thought I would give it a try. This is a terrific listen and if you don't have the package it is absolutely credit worthy! Serious family issues, abuse both physical and emotional, drug addiction, a terribly cold and distant mother more concerned with appearances rather than reality and a lot of subterfuge, a little romance and an adorable little girl make for a compelling listen. I liked that a poor decision by a teenager can be used to carve a new path to happiness as a adult.

Another great story by Brenda Novak. I just couldn't put it down! It has just enough romance and plenty of mystery that it will keep you up late into the night.

loved it. Great story of family's struggle to repair their past. Romance , mystery and emotional upheaval all there.

I loved the story line, I wanted to hear a better man voice not that it was bad but would of like RAF voice more manly

Awful male narration

While the voice of female character was great, the voice
of the main male character sounded like a 90 year old woman. Cringe-worthy, but I pressed on and enjoyed the author’s story.

This was a great book. It will definitely not be my last Brenda Novak book!
