Publisher's summary

The girl in the photograph has been missing for five years. Neither her body nor the secret documents she was carrying have ever been found. Now, post-war England's economic recovery depends on finding her and getting the papers back. But the two young Brits working undercover for the ministry know only that her name was Jane Finn, and the only photo of her is in the hands of her rich American cousin.

They don't know yet about a mysterious and ruthless man called "Mr. Brown," or the beautiful but sinister older woman who knows all about Jane Finn...and therefore must die.

Critic reviews

"Nadia May reads with her usual charging enthusiasm....She enlivens the repartee between the two leads, relishes the other characters and enjoys herself immensely." (AudioFile)

Nadia May is truly wonderful

Her talents as a voice actress are quite numerous and she brought the world of Agatha Christie's Tommy and Tuppence to life.

Good book

I did not like Tuppence at first but she grew on me. Yes, the ending was predictable but I actually liked it better than her first book.

Enjoyed this book a lot

It is set in another time so the characters are accordingly. But I did enjoy it a lot. I did figure the bad guy, but I changed my opinion several times. Enjoyable

Very Fun Story

I really enjoyed this Agatha Christie story. It’s a true adventure with lots of dangers some twists and turns. Overall the book had a light happy feeling while still solving a great mystery. Good for kids as well as adults.

Christies perfect pair of meddlers!

What made the experience of listening to The Secret Adversary the most enjoyable?

It was a pleasant story to listen to. It isn't one of the greatest of the Christie stories however its still a good listen.

What did you like best about this story?

Tommy and Tuppence are a pair of typically Christie busibodies. They are entertaining in their own inimitable ways. Though in parts the story is predicable the characters do assist in holding the storyline up.

What does Nadia May bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Not too bad, it was pleasant to listen to and she does definately enjoy her roles.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not necessarily!

Amazing

The Queen of Mystery does it again. This was a phenomenal story and performance. I love how in character Nadia May got, and loved all the voices she used. I would definitely recommend this to a friend, and would love to hear more read by Nadia May.

Super good story

The story was awesome. The narrator did a super job only confusing the accents a couple times. Well worth the listen.

Interesting tale

I enjoy Agatha Christie stories. I had a bit of trouble with the narrator’s accent, but that was my issue-not hers.
