Excellent Psychological Suspense

I really enjoyed The Second Captive, which is the second Maggie James novel I've read (so far). I thought the story was unique, in that it captured not only Beth's period of being held captive, but her life with her family afterward. The way these parts of her life were portrayed really brought the story to life for me. I found her character to be empathetic, true to life, and easy to connect with in terms of this novel grabbing me. The author's description of the villain's character and his life and background was also well-done. I highly recommend this book.

Another Attention Grasping Thriller

I've read a few psychological thrillers from this author and I'm hooked! Wow moments that keep me listening, anticipating where the story goes next. I'm impressed with how the author creates such amazing stories. Along with the narrator's gift in their presentation, this is another hit with me. The story of a young girl and her terrifying abduction. How she deals with the situation during and after as well as the way the abductor controls her world. I don't want to say anymore but buy this book, you won't regret it! 😀😀😀

Narration

I liked the book, the only thing I didn't like was the narrator's voice. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars

Amazing!!!!

I really enjoyed this book. I had the hardest time putting it down and when I finished I wanted to start it all over and read it again,. I loved how they described everything from the different viewpoints from the mother, from the captive, as well as from the captive, It was a very good book and I hope that I can read something else from this author
