Publisher's summary

This is the box set of the Sean Kruger series, books 1 through 3.

The Fugitive's Trail: In the lobby of a prestigious Wall Street investment firm, one man is dead and another seriously injured. The man accused of the crime is now a fugitive.

When the Director of the FBI personally orders Special Agent Sean Kruger to New York City to find the fugitive, Kruger questions the reason. Told to shut up and do his job, he starts looking into the case. What he finds is troubling. Eyewitness accounts seem contrived with little variance between individual testimonies. The more he hears, the more he feels someone is manipulating the story.

As the investigation unfolds, he discovers the only information known about the fugitive is a HR file from a former employer. Public records of the man do not exist.

The fugitive is a ghost. A ghost who has disappeared.

The Assassin's Trail: A serial killer is on the loose in the Washington, DC area. Two men are dead and the FBI has called in Profiler Special Agent Sean Kruger.

Now in the twilight of his career, Kruger and longtime girlfriend, Stephanie, have decided to marry. Tired of the bureaucracy and politics of the job, he wants no part of the investigation.

But when the assassin strikes close to home, it becomes personal....

The Imposter's Trail: Over the Indian Ocean a Malaysia Airline jumbo jet drops from radar. Three hundred twenty-seven souls disappear with it; a woman in Rockford, Illinois is brutally murdered. Unrelated news events? Retired FBI agent Sean Kruger doesn’t think so. He suspects it’s the work of serial killer Randolph Bishop.

Not terrible

Don't like the political musings, first. The country is so divided over this in reality and we all have our opinions. This is a fiction story and I took it that way.
Second, it is written well. I like the box sets. This guy is just soo good, right? No one else can deduce the obvious except him. But is still a nice series. Not too gross and interesting. Kept my attention from beginning to end.
I will buy more

Narrator really made this story.

An exciting story an kept my interest. Was glad I had the next book ready to keep going with the characters. I'm always a little sad when books are about to end although with the set that didn't happen.

Enjoyed!

The Sean Kruger Series is very good. Each book in the series stands alone, and, although the author makes references to previous events, he explains the reference well. The issues within each story are realistic and at no time did I feel 'that couldn't happen'.
The narrator, Paul J. McSorley has a fantastic tone perfect for the characters in this book. He is believable with the emotions of each situation. I actually believe he got better with each book.
I was excited to hear there will be a 4th book and in June '18, I will be looking for it!

phenomenal

All 3 books were very well written and the voice acting was very good. The romance was not over done thankfully, it was very tasteful.

I received this audio book free for an honest review.

Decent cop thriller

This was a decent story but kinda hard to listen to. The author likes to go into a lotta detail but some of the details are rather unnecessary. The narrator does well with giving different voices and showing inflection

Great read!

This series is one everyone will find familiar. The events can and do mimic what is happening in the world today. The plus is there is a conclusion! I can't wait to continue listening to this series.

Narrator not so good

The story line is kinda slow and predictable but the narration makes it horrible. The narrator is very monotonous a.m.d attempts to do accents but just can't pull them off.

A different kind of hero

Sean Kruger, FBI profiler, isn’t like most agents. He digs deeper and gets into the minds of both victims and perpetrators to help discover the truth and bring an end to crimes and misdeeds. Excellent series and even uttered “Yes!” when reference to a fourth book was made at the end of this engaging, smart trilogy of stories. Very easy to get lost in each book - great together but each able to stand on its own. Narration was outstanding - a great find all the way around.
