  • 195 - Pastor A.I.
    Apr 14 2026

Artificial Intelligence isn’t going anywhere—and it may prove to be more transformative than any invention in human history. At the same time, the Church isn’t going anywhere either. Over the last century of rapid technological change, it has continually adapted and even expanded its ability to spread the gospel of love.

So, what happens when these two forces collide?

With AI now capable of processing and synthesizing information at a level far beyond any individual, this episode explores how it should—and should not—be used in ministry. Specifically, we dig into its role in Bible study, prayer, and biblical counsel.

On this episode, biblical scholar, Marc Turnage, joins the podcast to unpack this concept with Jack Hoey, Lynne Story, and Joey Svendsen. Marc focuses especially on the benefits of AI—particularly how it can deepen our understanding of Scripture, which is what his new app, Ask Ezra, has great potential for.

  • 194 - Love Where You Live
    Apr 7 2026

Do Christians have a responsibility to serve their neighbors? The verse Jeremiah 29:7 calls God’s people to seek the peace and prosperity of the city—to pray for it, to care about it, and to invest in it.

To live this out, Seacoast launched "Love Where You Live” in March to create intentionality around serving people in our communities. It isn’t a one-time event, but rather an initiative to create a culture around loving the people in the communities where God has placed us. Listeners will hear from Local Missions Pastor, Jen Cameron, and three Seacoasters who share their stories about how they’ve made "loving where they live" a lifestyle. With Jack Hoey, Lynne Stroy, Josh Walters, and Joey Svendsen, this episode dissects what serving can look like and explores why it's not really a choice for those who follow Jesus.

The two guests talk about friendship, including the relationship they have with one another, and Joey asks their opinion on the infamous "Will Smith to Chris Rock" slap.

  • 190 - Jesus Was Rarely Mad at Sin and Christians Should Be the Least Angry People in the World
    Mar 10 2026

Pastors Kristin Young and Naeem Fazal, from Mosaic Church in Charlotte NC team up with hosts, Lynne Stroy and Joey Svendsen to discuss the following six questions:

    1. Does God see the average upstanding citizen & Bin Laden differently or both as mere sheep who He loves?

    2. Should Christians be less angry than the general public?

    3. Is it true that Jesus was rarely mad at sin?

    4. Is unity in the church possible when both sides see "the other side" as dangerous?

    5. Are there sins that most Christians have become comfortable with, and what do we do about this?

    6. Is what some states in American have deem “assisted suicide” for terminally ill a moral act of mercy?

  • 189 - An Encounter With Heaven with Pastor David Scarlett
    Mar 3 2026

At a young age, Pastor David Scarlett of His Glory Ministries had achieved success, financial stability, and had a promising future—yet when his marriage began to fall apart, his accomplishments offered little comfort. This crisis pushed him to seek a deeper, more authentic faith in Jesus.

Later in life, Pastor David suffered a severe case of botulism after eating a chili dog—an event he says led to his death and a vivid encounter with heaven. Though only five minutes had passed in the hospital room, he describes what felt like days in heaven, and says he saw Jesus standing at the foot of his bed before returning to his body. In this episode, Pastor David shares how this near-death experience shaped his ministry, the mission that emerged from it, and his perspective on the ongoing struggle between good and evil in America.

At the top of the show, Tomelex Copeland, Natasha Gray, Lynne Stroy, and Joey Svendsen discuss the moral questions surrounding combat sports like boxing and MMA, a viral story about a Walmart wedding ring used in a heartfelt proposal, and their takes on the phrase: “Be careful what you pray for.”

  • [REBOOT]: Irene Rollins: Overcoming Addiction and Reframing Shame
    Mar 1 2026

[In honor of Black History Month, we're highlighting some past conversations recorded with some former guests with diverse experiences]

Addiction hurts those who struggle as well as those who love the one doing the battling. Irene Rollins shares how her alcohol addiction almost cost her everything most dear to her. This story and what she's learned on her journey is the foundation of her book Reframe Your Shame: Experience Freedom from What Holds You Back. If you struggle with addiction, you are loved, and as long as there's breath in your lungs, your story can be redeemed.

With Lynne Stroy, Tomelex Copeland, and Joey Svendsen contributing to the conversation with Irene, the four also discuss the nature of women being competitive with one another; they talk about whether they have a special trust in businesses who claim to have Christian owners and navigate whether it's ever too late to bring up a grievance to one who has offended.

Irene Rollins is a certified emotional intelligence coach; she loves to study human behavior, enabling her to understand a wide variety of people and guide them to be the best version of themselves through her teaching, writing, and coaching.

After almost twenty-five years in full-time ministry, serving as Senior Pastors of a thriving church called i5 City, Irene and her husband Jimmy felt a shift in their ministry focus. Irene and Jimmy founded the ministry of TWO = ONE with a mission to help build strong marriages that result in healthy families that impact our communities for the better.
