WHEN THE LAW FAILS, THE RECKONING BEGINS.

In Chicago, the justice system is broken. Criminals walk free on technicalities, and the public has had enough. From the shadows of the Rust Belt rises a new force: The Reckoners. Ruthless, efficient, and adored by the media, this vigilante army is executing the corrupt officials and untouchable felons the courts let slip away.

Their next target is Federal Judge William Harmon—a good man who followed the letter of the law to release a monster. He is also the godfather of Grace Kane.

Pulled from his lighthouse sanctuary, Frank Kane descends into the urban decay of Chicago to stand between the mob and the judge. But this is not a standard protection detail. Frank is fighting a mirror image of himself: men and women driven by grief, convinced that violence is the only answer to injustice.

Outnumbered and operating in a city that wants his client dead, the "Sin Eater" must decide how far he will go to protect a man who let a killer walk. To save the innocent, Frank Kane may have to destroy the righteous.

This book was very confusing. At first I thought they were doing flashbacks but then realized the AI is out if sync. The story jumps around all over so nothing makes sense.

Not sure what happened here I like most of Corley's books but.
the last two Frank Kane books were written horribly. the story line was good however repeated descriptions (stones rubbing together etc.).and a jumbled story that doesn't follow any logical path, example the main villain character has been killed four times so far and I have not finished the book (not sure I can).
